Licensed & Special Services in CanYa
Licensing of Tradespersons
Certain trades and professions require mandatory licences and qualifications to be displayed in accordance with relevant state/territory regulations and laws. The CanYa app gives Providers the ability to upload and display the necessary qualifications and licence details.
It is a condition of the CanYa's Terms of Service that you agree that you are personally responsible for displaying relevant licences if you choose to render services inside a certain category that is bound to do so. Failure to do so may result in action being taken against your CanYa account.
You should read this if you are a:
- Air-conditioning Technician
- Private Investigator
- Real Estate Agent
Hiring a licensed tradesperson
Before you hire a tradesperson, you should check they are appropriately licensed by viewing their qualifications on their profile. CanYa does not currently provide verification of licence details displayed by Providers. You agree that as a User you are required to ensure licence details are correct by contacting relevant state and territory authorities prior to engaging the services of a provider through CanYa.
There is no legal requirement for massage therapists to have formal qualifications, but we recommend that all massage therapists seek recognised industry qualifications and display their membership to recognised third-party organisations, such as the Australian Association of Massage Therapy.
We recommend that all babysitters add their First Aid Certificate, Working with Children's card and Police Check certificate to CanYa.
How to add a licence
- Tap Menu and then "Profile"
- Tap "provider"
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "add qualification"
We highly recommend that you add a photo of your licence using your phone's camera for extra reassurance to your clients.
